Postdoctoral Fellow Optimization, Inversion, Machine Learning, and Uncertainty for Complex Systems
Dingcheng received his PhD in 2024 and his MS in 2021 in Computational Science, Engineering and Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to this, he received his BE (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.
Dingcheng's research interests are in developing computational methods to enable data-informed, risk-based decision making for complex physical systems. In particular, Dingcheng aims to develop theory and algorithms in machine learning/data science, computational modeling, inverse problems, and uncertainty quantification, and applying them to problems of scientific and engineering interest.
